When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training because I always had an interest in MMA after watching past events on video. The first time I actually trained for fighting was about 4 years ago during my freshman year of college at Eastern Illinois University. I talked to Brian Ebersole, who went to Eastern as well, and was already fighting at the time about training and that’s where it started. After I started training I got hooked and have been doing it ever since.
What ranks and titles have you held? I haven’t held any Titles yet but that will change soon.
Do you have any heroes? I have had many influences in my life, but nobody that I could single out. I admire people who are willing to go after their dreams and do what it takes to accomplish them in all aspects of life.
What is your favorite technique? Punchto the face is good…nobody likes that apparently.
What does it mean for you to fight in the WEC? It means a lot. This is a great opportunity for me because the WEC is one of the premier shows in the world and this is what I have been working towards for the last few years of my life.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I went to Eastern Illinois University where I wrestled and got my degree in Business Management in December
What was your job before you started fighting? I was a student before I started fighting.
