TRAINING: Running in the morning, Jiu-Jitsu class, Striking Class and sparring every day. I train about 6 hours every day.
Thoughts on opponent, John Cofer? I think it is going to be a great fight. He is a great fighter and we are good friends so we will see what happens. It is a very good matchup for me.
When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training in 2006. I wasn't really looking to fight, I just fell into it and it fit naturally with my desire to compete.
What ranks and titles have you held? 2 time NAIA Champion in Wrestling
Do you have any heroes? My mother and my little brothers and sisters
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It means everything to me. My life has completely changed. It was my ultimate goal - my life will never be the same. I am living my dream.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I attended Lidenwood University but did not finish
What was your job before you started fighting? I was a bouncer at a club on Miami Beach
